Video Generators : Astro Systems VG-849C

VG-849C is the most significant analog/digital output type programmable video signal generator. This updated version of the VG-849 will now support HDMI 1.3 (*12 bit Deep Color), making it the first unit of its type to offer this new standard.

This unit supports analog RGB/YPbPr signal switching and conforms to HDTV system timing.

SDTV standard signals like NTSC/PAL/SECAM are also supported. Standard unit offers TMDS signal digital output with added HDCP function with AV-MUTE ON/OFF function. Dual link output (to 300MHz) is possible with custom modification. Can support an ultr-high-density display surpassing QXGA (2048�1536). HDMI (Hiigh-Definition Multimedia Interface EIA/CEA-861C, interface standards for next generation TV is Suppoted).

Wideband Clock Range

��� * One-dot accuracy setting over complete in all analog outputs. Max.300MHz for analog, Max.165(300MHz optional) for digital.

Supports HDMI Ver 1.3 (excluding SACD)

��� * HDMI can transmit a digital signal and muiti channel audio, creates a high quality digital signal ATA compliance test passed and follows the HDMI standard, HDMI Ver 1.3 clock frequency is a maximum 165MHz which covers HD 1080p timing.

Copy Protect Function

Ethernet adopted for external interface

PC Card Editing

��� * ATA compliant Compact Flash Card has been adopted for recording medium. Editing of BitMap program data can be saved directly to a PC withhout having to use the VG, and easy to upgrabe for new functions.

Supports 24-bit full color BitMap

Equipped with scroll and simple animation picture functions

��� * Equipped with 1 dot level horizontal and vertical display pattern scroll function. Also, is can be used as a simple animation. HDCP + EDID OK/NG status overlay (with H/V/CLK status) function also supported.

Supports TV signals

��� * the unit supports RGB, YPbPr(YCbCr), Y/C, composite(NTSC/PAL/SECAM) and D-terminal(D5), SCART(with optional adapter) outputs. Vchip, Cbesd Caption and Teletext test functions covered. In the latest 450 version timing and pattern samples are pre-installed. Various types of HDTV standards like SMPTE, Chinese, Australian, EIA TV formats like NTSC, PAL, SECAM and PC timings of VESA orworld famous formats are supported. Useful test patterns according to test devices like LCD, PDP, CRT are also avaiable.

Supported simple CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) Function
