Agilent/HP E5515A The E5515A Wireless Communication Test Set provides breakthrough speed and throughput for high-volume production environments. This set is designed to help mobile phone manufacturers boost the throughput of a mobile-phone production test system by up to 300%. The E5515A provides all the functionality needed for automated testing of GSM900, DCS1800, and PCS1900 mobile phones. The test set can be upgraded to accept other wireless formats and enhancements in the future. To deliver this increase in testing speed, the E5515A incorporates hardware that has been optimized with fast processing algorithms and high-speed processor technology. This is the first test set to use HP's Reduced Instruction Parallel Processing (RIPP) architecture. Transmitter Measurements that can be made include the following: Frequency error, output power, phase error (peak and rms), power versus time (burst mask comparison), burst timing, output RF spectrum due to switching, and output RF spectrum due to modulation.
Receiver Measurements include the following:
- Burst-by-burst bit error ratio (fast BER)
- Normal bit error ratio ( BER)
- Audio Functionality:
- Speech echo back to mobile station, audio generator encoded on downlink TCH, Uplink speech level measurement, audio generator, and audio level measurement.

- Mobile Station Power Output Level Control: Meets GSM phase one and phase two power control levels.
