The measurement accuracy of the R&S FSU50 is also extraordinary. In the frequency range up to 3.6 GHz, it achieves a total measurement uncertainty of less than 0.3 dB; at 50 GHz, the value is still 3 dB without the customary peaking of the preselection filters. Phase noise is extremely important for measurements on frequency-processing equipment or when searching for interference signals. The R&S FSU50 furnishes superb values both close to the carrier and at larger frequency offsets. At a carrier offset of 10 MHz, for example, it achieves -160 dBc (1 Hz). You can expand the frequency range up to 100 GHz by connecting the External Mixers R&S FS-Z60/75/90/110. If you use mixers from other manufacturers, the R&S FSU50 supports measurements up to 1.1 THz. The R&S FSU50 can also run all software options from the R&S FSU family.
