The Schaffner NSG651 High Energy Pulse Generator supplies hybrid pulses of 1,2/50 Micros (open circuit) up to 6,6 kV respectively 8/20 Micros (short circuit) up to 3,3 kA. Shock impulses up to 6,6 kV are available with 10/700 Micros, 100/700 Micros or 0,5/700 Micros. Pulse characterization of IEC 801-5 is fully covered. The hybrid-pulse 1,2/50 Micros and 8/20 Micros is also necessary for ANSI-IEEE C62.45, VDE 0109 and many other standards. The typical Telecom pulses 10/700 Micros and 100/ 700 Micros are described in CCITT standard K17 and K20. Some other standards require the faster pulse transition of 0,5 Micros. All functions are controlled and supervised by an internal microprocessor. The Schaffner NSG-651 generator itself is controlled by an IBM compatible PC (not included).
