The VG-871 is a standalone video signal generator with multiple-interface options. The VG-871 is capable of testing the majority of Flat-Panel-Displays in the market today. It supports all HDMI standards including specific functions of HDMI 1.3a such as Deep Color (max.12-bit), xxYCC and LipSync.

The great expandability of VG-871 will be able to support interfaces and signals for the next generation of signal standards and function requirements. Also, its High-speed-drawing processor supports Deep Color for RGB (16-bit/each) and Ultra High Resolution (up to 330 MHz) with optional upgrade(*subject to new device or interface board release).

Features

• Support various kinds of patterns and functions which are very often required in tests for flat-panel display TVs (e.g. Programmable Ramp pattern, RGB natural picture images, etc.)
• Provides video memory with a maximum capacity of 4096 x 4096 and a newly designed processor. It supports a maximum RGB of 16-bit/each, ultra-high resolutions up to 330 MHz, future digital interfaces like next HDMI (beyond Ver.1.3a), DisplayPort and so on by optional upgrade(*subject to new device or interface board release).
• Test pattern drawing speed is significantly improved for reducing tact time in product lines.
• By using the jog dial, large display panel and single-touch function keys, simplified operations and reduced tact time can be achieved.
• xvYCC(xvYCC709/xvYCC601) video standard, with a color gamut surpassing current HDMI, and a video delay(Lipsync) test function are supported.
• Transmission and reception of CEC(Consumer Electronics Control) commands is supported.
• Digital output : HDMI 1.3a x 2, DVI x 1.
• Analog output : RGB x 1, Dsub-15 x 2, YPbPr x 1, VBS x 1, S-Video x 1, SCART x 2
• RGB output supports 10-bit gray scale, which is useful for gray scale testing of TVs which incorporate 10-bit processing devices and panels. This model’s ID display function for output interfaces is used for picture-in-picture tests.
