Prevent Customer Dissatisfaction and High Repair Costs in the Automotive Industry
The new 4208 Off-Air Mobile Tester has been specifically designed to measure over longer distances over the air without a cable connecting the tester with the mobile phone.
Using the 4208, car manufacturers can test GSM mobile phones integrated in the car or a hands-free kit. The 4208 is located beside the assembly line with antennas or radiating cables mounted above it. The 4208’s higher receiver sensitivity of –54 dBm and increased output level of –24 dBm support measurements over the antenna rather than over a cable. The 4208 quickly verifies the radio and audio connections in an end-to-end automated test designed to prevent customer dissatisfaction and high repairs costs caused by the car’s infotainment system.
Highlights:
Separate RX and TX paths for using an external amplifier; allows customers to cover larger distances
Higher receiver sensitivity: measurements down to –54 dBm, connection possible down to –60 dBm
Higher output level: –24 dBm
Improved call processing functions for tests under interference conditions
Small GSM mobile tester with low power consumption
