The Model: SWCS-932/S4 is intended to test damped oscillatory waves for surge immunity in a system including a static relay conforming to ANSI/IEEE C37.90.1.1989.
This unit is designed to apply damped oscillatory wave voltage to a commercial power supply so that the surge immunity can be easily evaluated.
Unlike the usual gap discharge type, a semi-conductor switch is employed to enhance the reliability.
As the generator circuit is floated, it is not necessary to float this unit even if a test is conducted in the transverse mode (interphase injection).
Up to 4kV of output voltage can be obtained, allowing flexible operation.
An output voltage limiting circuit is incorporated. As the output voltage power supply of this unit is not stabilized, the high voltage power output may fluctuate. In case the high voltage power supply output exceeds 4.5KV, this unit will automatically stop.
