R3031 GPS frequency standard is a signal generator which receives radio
waves from global positioning system (GPS) satellites, mounting an atomic
oscillator and outputs high-precision and high-stability frequencies. With
unique digital signal processing technology, the R3031 frequency standard
makes it possible to eliminate radio waves propagation noise and S/A
noise* superimpose on GPS radio waves and output high-precision frequencies.
In addition, even if reception of GPS radio waves becomes
impossible, the output frequency of the R3031 reveals no remarkable
variation and it maintains the free-running condition with a stability of 5
10-10/day using the previous control information. (*S/A noise: Radio wave
propagation noise intentionally superimpose on GPS radio wave for US
military strategic reasons.)
