The instrument employs a fundamental oscillator design that reduces the harmonic and subharmonic generation plaguing multiplier type sources. Built-in features include a power meter with +16 to -35 dBm range, AM and FM modulation, and a high performance pulse generator and modulator that provides an on/off ratio of 80 dB with a rise time of less than 10 ns.
