The Agilent J4223A is a single width C-Sized module that provides the processor capability for the SpectralBER System. It provides the control for the Transmitter modules and the control and results gathering capability for the Receiver modules. The interface to the system is via SCPI commands sent to the Command Module which communicates with the DWDM Controller. An important function of the J4223A is to concentrate the measurement results from all receivers to allow them to be efficiently communicated to the system control PC or workstation.
