The 5500A-810 G.703 64 KBPS Interface Module Plug-In enables the 5500A Telecommunications Analyzer to test data communication systems operating at G.703 64 kbps rates in accordance with the CCITT G.703 Recommendation. The module provides the capability to transmit and receive data and clock signals in any of the three modes of operation specified in CCITT Recommendation G.703; codirectional interface mode, centralized clock interface mode, and both the line side and service side of the codirectional interface mode. In addition, the unit permits the 5500A to provide octet timing, injection, and detection of bipolar violations, clock error detection, codirectional code violation detection. byte synchronous user pattern transmission, high impedance monitoring of live traffic in the receive direction, low level and high level transmission, and internal loopback. The mechanical interface between the module and the system under test consists of four type 310 compatible jacks for transmit and receive data and clock. A 25-pin D-type connector is wired in parallel with the type 310 jacks.
