The Agilent E1466A Relay Matrix Switch is a 4 x 64 matrix switch crosspoint. The E1466A module provides good value for configuring large matrix applications. It can be easily expanded to larger matrixes via a chaining cable that allows interconnections between rows and columns on different modules. A fully loaded 13-slot VXI mainframe can have up to 3072 two-wire crosspoints.
This product family is designed such that the E1466A shares the same switch card with the E1465A and E1467A modules. It is the terminal block that determines the matrix configuration. Therefore, you can change matrix topology simply by plugging in different terminal blocks from within this product family. By interconnecting rows and columns on the terminal blocks, matrixes up to 4 x 256 can be created. The E1465/66/67A matrix modules have identical performance specifications, and offer similar densities. All specifications are identical for this product line, except for crosstalk.
