The E1485C VXI Digital Signal Processor module is a C-size, one-slot, message-based VXI module. This module features up to five Motorola DSPs controlled by a 32-bit CPU. The E1485C comes standard with one 40 MHz Motorola 96002 DSP. This 32-bit floating point processor can compute a 1 K, complex FFT in under 2ms. Add as many as four DSPs when you need more processing power. High-speed measurement loops and multi-DSP processing begin with a high-performance CPU. The CPU in the E1485C is a 40 MHz Motorola 68EC030. It initializes and monitors DSP operations and data transfers, manages communication over the VXI back plans, and can control other VXI modules. CPU peripherals include a 128 kB boot ROM, an interrupt timer, a Motorola 68882 math co-processor and up to 64 MB of program and data storage memory.
