The Advance Energy MDX-L Series DC Magnetron Drives are equipped with a built-in impedance-matching transformer. These transformers are available in high Z, standard Z, configurations. With the proper transformer, load impedances requiring voltages up to 525 V or 650 V can be accommodated.
The Advance Energy MDX-L Series DC Magnetron Drives can be used as a power, current or voltage source, depending on the method of output regulation selected.
The Advance Energy MDX-L Series DC Magnetron Drives have complete internal protection for output over-voltage and over-current conditions.
The VARC provides suppression and quenching of different types of arcs. An added advantage is that VARC reduces target burn-in time and material loss. By sensing a drop in impedance and immediately shutting the power off, this also prevents energy from being dumped into hot spots.
