he new Model 3258 Safety HiTESTER contains no exposed metal parts, with everything including the measurement probes protected by insulating resin. Until now, voltmeters measured by connecting metal probe tips to metal conductors, a situation that is constantly open to the possibility of electric shock and short-circuit accidents. With the 3258, not only can you test for voltage using the traditional method, i.e., over metal conductors, you can now also measure voltage over insulated conductors simply by pressing the insulated non-metallic probe tips of against the covered wiring to ensure safe AND accurate measurement conditions. User safety is thus vastly improved.
Compatible with 100, 200 and 400V power lines, this model is ideal for a wide range of applications in electrical equipment maintenance and installation work.
